Osman Ferhat Canakkale was born in Ankara and he was graduated from Yahya Kemal Beyatli High School and Department of Finance in Gazi University, Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences.

Upon working as Tax Inspector for a period of 11 years, Mr. Canakkale served as Acting Compliance Analysis and Review Manager in the Revenue Administration for a period of 4 years and he developed and managed several projects during his term of office. “VAT Refund Risk Analysis System (KDVIRA)”, “False Document Risk Analysis System (SARP)”, “Data Visualization and Risk Analysis System”, “Readily Prepared Rent Declaration System”, “Electronic Checking System” and “Taxpayer Carnet System” are some of the projects in which he took a role.

As a coordinator, Osman Ferhat Canakkale managed the Project on Monitoring e-Trade and Improving Taxpayer Compliance in Turkey carried out jointly with Dutch Revenue Administration and his efforts in this project have been recognized with letter of appreciation by the Ministry of Finance.

Mr. Canakkale is an expert in data analysis, risk scoring, data visualization, risk assessment and evaluation and he took a role in activities focused on e-invoice, e-book and e-archive.

In addition, Osman Ferhat Canakkale made presentation on Measurement and Management of Tax Compliance Risk- Examples on Turkish Revenue Administration’s Practices in “Efficiency and Effectivity in Tax Administration” seminar organized by OECD, a presentation on Usury with POS and Revenue Administration’s Practices in “Usury and Its Legal Consequences” seminar organized by Justice Academy and a presentation on “Systems for Measuring Tax Risks” in many seminars organized by Revenue Administration.
